Here is a presentation of the team behind Mayfair!
Iva Vávrová
Iva is a Czech larp organiser and designer. She is the author of 97 Poets of Revachol and Valley of Shadow, and she has translated and run the international runs of multiple Czech larps, such as Legion: Siberian Story and De la Bête. She has been passionate about making Czech larp international and is hoping that this project will help make international larp a bit more Czech. In her real life, she is a conference interpreter, a dancer and a spreadsheet person.
Lu Larpová
Lu has been larping for two decades and looks back on 10+ years of organising. She has worked with many different organisations across Europe, and has helped organise larps not only in Germany, but also in Spain, France, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Croatia. She previously worked with Atropos on Love And Duty. When she’s not larping or organising (a seldom occurrence), she works in a logistics company, and spends her free time roleplaying, socialising, and talking people’s ears off about larp.
Atropos
Atropos is a non-profit organization based in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was started in 2017, and consists of four members: Petra Katarina Lindve, Carl Nordblom, Siri Sandquist and Simon Svensson. The organisation organises larps such as Love and Duty, The Forbidden History, The Austen Experience, and the Androids larps. Most likely, only Petra and Simon will be on-site for Mayfair.
Ann Christensen will also be assisting in communications connected to the larp.
A Note
The team behind Mayfair are all volunteers, and are doing this in their free time. This means that it may take a few days for us to have time to answer questions or to replace people who have dropped out. We will also have certain periods of time when we are more busy with other projects or with work, so there will be quieter weeks from the organizer side. At each run, half of the organising team will be on duty to deal with issues. They will have NPC characters but are ready to step in and fix things or help with game-related questions.
The other half of the organising team will be playing full characters, on the same premise as the rest of the players, and will not be actively game-mastering or steering the larp. Instead, they’ll be completely acting as their characters.
